Brad Nowell was the lead singer and guitarist of Sublime. Brad was born in Long Beach, California on February 22, 1968. Brad Nowell was very smart however he was born with attention deficit disorder (ADD). When Brad was ten years old his parents divorced and he lived in Orange County with his mother, Nancy Nowell for four years. Brad moved back in with his dad, Jim Nowell in 1981. When Brad was eleven years old he first heard reggae music for the first time and fell in love. He would practice everyday trying to teach himself how to play reggae music on the guitar till he got it perfect. After this he got starting listening and loving punk rock and decided to mix the two together. Brad graduated from high school in 1986. In college he met Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh and they formed a band called Sublime.
